Purpose of the Role
This exciting remote based Digital Marketing & Trading Manager opportunity has arisen to join our Digital Marketing team reporting to the Head of Digital Marketing & Trading.
This role will be to support your reporting manager and the wider Digital Marketing Team to drive forward our digital trading capabilities with the business units that we service via our mix of digital marketing channels.
You will drive new business income and policy count growth through our PPC, SEO, Affiliate, Email & Paid Social channels and demonstrate this growth through our trading disciplines and processes. Working with the Trading Directors across the product areas for which you will be responsible, you will ensure growth aligns with business capacity and requirements.
What you will do
This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. Collaborating with your line manager, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all of the following:
- Work with the Digital Marketing Team to analyse new opportunities across our existing channels and unlock new opportunities to drive new business income.
- Manage digital activity for Footman James, with the support of the internal team and agency, as the incumbent becomes the main stakeholder for all things digital marketing for this brand.
- Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders – Trading Teams, Central Marketing Function and Full-Service Digital Marketing Agency.
- Work with the Analytics Lead to measure and monitor effectiveness and performance of digital marketing campaigns.
- Drive results through use of new technologies and channels, measuring ROI and key KPIs for all campaigns.
- Work to a budget and plan delivery of consistent results within budget or plan.
- Propose growth budgets for the Digital Marketing activity and support business units with their digital spend budgeting.
- Forecast performance trends and act proactively to increase our market share of clicks.
- Support the digital leadership with the growth of our performance marketing channels (affiliates, programmatic etc.)
- Monitor our competition and provide ideas to drive change by providing competitor insight to key stakeholders and making recommendations for growth.
Qualifications and Experience
This is an opportunity for an experienced digital marketing individual with a proven track record working across all digital acquisition disciplines and sound knowledge of website development and design processes. You will need to have strong commercial acumen and experience in a financial services market would be preferred but is not essential.

- Google & Microsoft Ads
- Affiliate Programs
- Programmatic/Display
- Paid Social
- Google Analytics (GA4)
You will need to demonstrate a creative mind whilst working strategically with a passion for finding the best way to deliver digital marketing campaigns and commercial results. Analytical, clear presentation and public speaking skills, ability to plan and work to tight deadlines ensuring targets are achieved and articulated to a wide selection of stakeholders are just some of the skills we are seeking.
You will be self-motivated, approachable, a team player and leader, tenacious and resilient and happy to work and network with internal and external stakeholders.
